A piece of home at Europa-Park

SC Freiburg player Ryan Kent discovers Germany´s largest theme park

Last week former English U20 national player, Ryan Kent, visited Germany’s largest theme park, Europa-Park. The current SC Freiburg player had over 100 attractions and shows on offer in 15 European themed areas to choose from.

Ryan Kent particularly liked the English themed area with its detailed architecture and traditional English food selection. The London Bus ride made Kent, born in Oldham and currently playing for the SC Freiburg Bundesliga team, feel somewhat at home. WODAN – Timburcoaster and the Pumpkin Coaster were next on the list. Speeds of over 100kph couldn’t scare the footballer. Nor could the spooky Halloween decorations and live actors in the park. Right up to 5th November 2017, 180,000 pumpkins of all shapes and sizes colour Europa-Park in a rich shade of orange. In addition, 15,000 chrysanthemums, 6,000 maize plants, and 3,000 straw bales surrounded by thick spider webs and rattling skeletons create a wonderfully spooky atmosphere.
