New Festival at Europa-Park

ROLLING STONE PARK announces first bands and readings

Visitors can look forward to Rock'n'Roll with 4* comfort at the ROLLING STONE PARK. The festival will be held for the first time this year on 16th and 17th November 2018 at Europa-Park in Rust, Baden-Württemberg, as the sister festival of the successful ROLLING STONE WEEKENDERS. The organizer FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen has already published the first names for the 2018 line-up, which already pack a punch.

The American alternative band The Flaming Lips will be appearing for the premiere of the new indoor comfort festival. Performances of the band in Germany have been rare in the last few years, but are always a very special experience. The Hamburg band Kettcar released a much-acclaimed new album this year, and are bringing it with them to Europa-Park. Folk rocker Father John Misty is a master of swinging hips, but above all an extremely gifted songwriter and musician who will prove his talents in Rust once more. True alternative veterans are the New Yorkers of Nada Surf, who have been on international stages since 1993 and still guarantee just as exciting shows. Anyone who appreciates versatile psychedelic rock will be particularly pleased with the commitment of the Norwegian band Motorpsycho. In addition, the German singer/songwriters Francesco Wilkening and Moritz Krämer perform with their band The Highest Railway at ROLLING STONE PARK. American folk guitarist Ryley Walker and Irish brother duo Hudson Taylor complete the first wave of confirmed acts for the new festival in the South of Germany.

For the reading programme, comedian and book & column author Oliver Polak and Thorsten Nagelschmidt, former head of the band Muff Potter, have been confirmed. In total, more than 30 artists will perform at ROLLING STONE PARK. Visitors can also look forward to a supporting programme with record and music book markets, concert poster exhibitions, and rocking after-show parties.

ROLLING STONE PARK takes place indoors at Europa-Park. While Germany's largest theme park is in its off season, fans of guitar-heavy music will be getting their money's worth at the Europa-Park Confertainment Center. Included in the ticket price are two nights in one of the five 4* hotels of Europa-Park. Visitors can enjoy a high-quality culinary range and versatile wellness and fitness offers during their stay. The EP-Express commutes between the hotels and the stages, keeping visitors dry at all times. A festival could not be more comfortable.

The pre-sale for ROLLING STONE PARK 2018 has already begun. Tickets for two days of festival including two nights with breakfast in a 4* or 4* superior hotel, parking and use of the EP-Express are available from €189.

All information about the new festival can be found summarised on the website www.rollingstone-park.de/public/.

The ROLLING STONE PARK is an event from FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH in cooperation with the ROLLING STONE magazine.
