Last weekend, Europa-Park was once again awarded the coveted industry Oscar ‘Best Theme Park Worldwide’, the ‘Golden Ticket Award’. This allowed Germany's largest theme park to once again defend its title against renowned theme parks such as Disney and the competition of new parks in China and South America. The award from the international journal ‘Amusement Today’ was accepted in the American theme park ‘Silverwood’ in Athol, Idaho by Jürgen Mack, Managing Partner, and his wife Mauritia.

Despite the great competition, especially in the US, the high-caliber jury put the Baden-based family business at the top. Aspects that were particularly highlighted in Europa-Park are the multitude of high-quality attractions which, thanks to excellent operation and maintenance at the highest level, offer a great experience for the visitors. The mix of traditional rides and digital content as well as the 23-hour show program, including its own musical production, set the course for the industry according to the jury. The first-class gastronomy, which includes the 2* Michelin restaurant ‘Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant’, the wide range of shopping opportunities and the spacious hotel resort, ultimately contributed to the victory of Europa-Park.
Europa-Park owner Jürgen Mack: “We are proud that, as a family business, we were able to prevail against industry greats such as Disney for the sixth time. The intergenerational development of Europa-Park, including the new water world Rulantica, is unique in Europe. My wife and I accept this award on behalf of our Mack family as well as the 4,150 employees of Europa-Park. We consolidate our position as the market leader of German amusement parks.”
