As the most tranquil time of year begins, Europa-Park wraps itself in a magical winter clothing and starts its winter season from 02nd December 2023 to 07th January 2024 (excluding December 24th/25th). The 16 European themed areas are transformed into a Winter Wonderland as 3,000 snow-decked fir trees line the paths. The Rulantica water world, which is open all year round, promises an action-packed day for the whole family with a wide range of water attractions. If you want to surprise your loved ones this Christmas with an exclusive experience for all the senses, you shouldn't miss out on a visit to the world-first restaurant Eatrenalin. Winter fans can round off their short holiday wonderfully with an overnight stay in one of the park's six 4* (superior) hotels or in the cozy Camp Resort.

Winter ride fun with over 100 attractions and shows
During the cold season, Germany's largest theme park transforms into a magical winter wonderland for the whole family. During a ride on the impressive 'Bellevue' Ferris wheel, visitors can let their gaze wander over Europa-Park filled with winter decorations. Over 3,000 snow-decked Christmas trees, sparkling lights and Christmas decorations create a unique atmosphere. For fans of the rollercoasters themselves, the thrill of speed is still guaranteed even during winter. In the Magic Cinema 4D, MACK Magic presents 'Voltron 4D', an exciting 12-minute film adventure about Nikola Tesla. The new cinema experience gives a glimpse of the new upcoming rollercoaster 'Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac' in the Croatia themed area. A special exhibition is also taking place in the Iceland themed area, with the title 'The chickens are laughing – Peter Gaymann’s drawings in Europa-Park'. More than 80 originals and signed prints by the popular artist, who is known nationwide for his humorous works, will be on display in the blue fire Dome.
Germany's largest theme park also offers exciting winter highlights for children. At the ‘FIS Snowkidz - Children's Ski School’ in the Austrian themed area, they can make their first attempts at racing down the hills on skis or in snow tubes, all with the support of trained ski instructors. In the Scandinavian themed area, Europa-Park is once again offering the ‘Skitty World Nordic’, a cross-country skiing world for children and young people, in cooperation with the Skiing School Thoma. Guests can glide in circles around the large ice-skating area next to the
‘Fjord Rafting’. In the Spanish Arena is the 'WinterWunderWelt’, where younger visitors will find plenty of opportunities to let off some steam. The lovingly-decorated Himmelspforten Post Office in the England themed area takes the children from the crèche to the Christmas gift factory. At the end, Santa Claus awaits the children with a little surprise, as well as to hear their wishes.
The international artists whisk visitors off into a magical world with the best entertainment, creating a great Christmas atmosphere. With beautiful costumes and professional productions both on the ground and in the air, the award-winning artists amaze audiences in the new Circus Revue. The colder season is also the time of year when wishes come true, and this is definitely the case with the ice show ‘Surpr'Ice presents a Christmas Dream’. At the Globe Theatre, 'A Christmas Novel' tells a touching story filled with of nostalgia and plenty of emotion, peppered with dance and singing. After their great success in 2022, Ross Antony and Paul Reeves return year to present the show 'Crazy Christmas – Again Ever Year' with their favourite Christmas hits three times a day at the Globe Theatre from 13th to 17th December. From 5pm, Ed Euromaus invites you to his 3D video mapping show displayed on the facade of the ‘Eurosat - CanCan Coaster’. Every half hour the ‘Miraculeux - Mapping Show’ enchants visitors with a play of light and colours. In the evening, guests can also look forward to a fascinating Christmas spectacle on the lake of the Austria-themed area with the show ‘Josefina's Winter Journey’. The daily highlight is ‘Ed's Starlight Parade’, which features magnificent costumes and glittering floats, from which Ed Euromaus and his friends wave to the little guests.
Winter treats
Culinary dreams come true in the extensive christmas market that surrounds the Europe Fountain, as well as in the historic Balthasar Palace Park. Visitors can take a leisurely stroll and sample all sorts of delights. Extraordinary figures made of light bathe the castle park in bright colours. Visitors can also go back in time to find olden-style craftsmanship at the Christmas market in 'Ireland – Children's World'. It is not just the christmas market where visitors will find delicious specialties, but also at numerous stalls as well as in the cosy restaurants and cafés in Europa-Park. In addition to hot mulled wine and punch, guests enjoy variations of winter crêpes, freshly baked Baumstriezel, or hearty venison goulash. During the cold season, the pavilion in the French themed area is transformed into a toasty bakery where visitors can enjoy the pure joy of baking in a cosy atmosphere, with the loving guidance of the Kambly confectioners. In addition, the incredibly cosy ERDINGER Urweiße Hütt´n returns to the Portugal themed area and treats visitors to hearty delicacies. On selected evenings, the kitchen team also invites you to socialise with hearty live music and a 3-course menu.
Mystical water fun
At the Rulantica water world, visitors escape the dull wintery weather and dive into unforgettable water fun. Numerous slides, a huge wave pool and an exciting water playground ensure endless fun. On cold winter days, Europe's largest speed slide 'Vikingløp' invites visitors on an exciting slide race. For those seeking relaxation, a visit to the exclusive relaxation and sauna area 'Hyggedal' is ideal. As of this year, there are also six luxuriously-furnished day suites in the 'Nordiskturn' area that can be exclusively booked. After their visit to the water world, guests can also go for a few laps on an artificial ice surface in front of the Bubba Svens restaurant in the Krønasår hotel.
Experiences for all the senses and extraordinary overnight stays
Right next to the water world Rulantica and the hotel ‘Krønasår’, even more exciting adventures await. The exquisite 4-course menu by 2* Michelin chef Peter Hagen-Wiest also pampers guests with culinary delights. After many exciting hours filled with unforgettable moments, the six park-owned, winter-decorated hotels and the rustic Camp Resort offer the perfect opportunity to end the day in a relaxed way. In the lovingly themed worlds of the 4* superior hotels, visitors can experience many wonderful moments. The spacious wellness and spa areas promise pure relaxation for body and mind.
