Jürgen Mack
Jürgen Mack was born on 3 June 1958 in Freiburg. He is the second son of Franz and Liesl Mack.
Until his Abitur school-leaving certificate (academic high school Waldkirch) Jürgen Mack grew up in the city of Waldkirch.
From 1978 until 1986 Jürgen Mack attended the University of Karlsruhe. He completed his degree as a graduate engineer for industrial engineering.
After 1986 Jürgen Mack passed several internships and he also gained work experience abroad, for example in different theme parks in the USA and in the family´s own manufacturing company for amusement rides, Mack Rides in Waldkirch/Germany.
After his course of studies, Jürgen Mack became managing partner of Europa-Park together with his father Franz and his brother Roland.
Jürgen Mack also is a partner in the company Mack Rides GmbH & Co. KG in Waldkirch.
Jürgen Mack is a member of the supervisory board of the German bank “Volksbank Lahr”.
On behalf of Federal President Horst Köhler, Culture Minister Helmut Rau honoured Jürgen Mack with the Federal Service Cross (with ribbon) on 28 June 2005.
On 9 April 2008, Jürgen Mack received the Lorenz-Werthmann-Medaille from Caritas (catholic charitable services) for his social commitment.
Jürgen Mack is married with his the architect Mauritia Mack. They have two children.
