Germany´s biggest theme park gets certificate by the German safety standards authority TÜV Süd

Europa-Park is “Fit for Kids”

Europa-Park offers fantastic adventures not only for grown-ups – also small visitors will find everything they may wish for. As Europa-Park guarantees the highest possible safety standards especially for its youngest guests, it is the first theme park worldwide which has been given the renowned certificate “Fit for Kids” for its numerous child-oriented attractions and leisure facilities. The certificate “Fit for Kids” has been developed by the TÜV Süd (German Association for Technical Inspection) and documents Europa-Park´s excellent level regarding safety and child-friendliness.

Last year, Europa-Park was honoured with the award “Best Theme Park for Children” yet again. Due to its large variety of perfectly themed kids´ attractions for all ages, its child-oriented shows, considerate staff members and exemplary baby-care rooms, Germany´s biggest theme park was elected once again the most child-friendly theme park in Germany by the “Freizeitpark Tester Team e. V.”. The highly renowned certificate “Fit for Kids” now confirms that Europa-Park is setting high standards also with regards to safety and quality of the rides.

In addition to the control of technical safety aspects of the facilities, special child-suitability, tidiness, suitable food & beverage options, accessibility and qualification of the staff members, the certificate also implies the all-over service quality. By complying with the high standards, Europa-Park guarantees all parents that their children are in good hands in Germany´s biggest theme park.

The certificate, which is issued by the renowned safety standards authority TÜV Süd, emphasises the philosophy of the theme park´s owners, the Mack family, who have designed Europa-Park as a theme park for the whole family. Roland Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park, is especially proud of the certificate, which was presented to Europa-Park during the official opening of the new children´s water playground “Lítill Island – Hansgrohe Water Playground”. The new attraction stands for a large number of other attractions at Europa-Park that are suitable for children.

Roland Mack´s commitment for the observance and continuous improvement of safety standards will also serve the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), as he will become Chairman of IAAPA in November 2011. The certificate “Fit for Kids” emphasises once again that Roland Mack has all the attributes to realise the best possible standards for the worldwide leisure industry.

Europa-Park will be open daily from 9 am to 6 pm until 7 November 2010 (longer opening hours during peak season). Winter season 2010/11: 27 November 2010 until 9 January 2011 (except 24/25 December). Further information: www.europapark.de.
