New indoor water world officially opens

The Rulantica expedition is launched

After taking just 26 months to build, the big moment finally arrived on 28 November 2019: In the presence of over 250 international journalists and 400 honoured guests from politics, business, sport and culture - including the swimming legend Franziska van Almsick, national football coach Joachim Löw and Tourism Minister Guido Wolf – the owner family Mack held an opening ceremony for ʽRulantica – The new indoor water world at Europa-Parkʼ. The gigantic Scandinavian-style water adventure world built across 32,600 square metres is now open for curious explorers. Throughout the year, young and old adventurers can explore nine themed areas and over 25 exciting water attractions. And it’s just a stone’s throw away from Germany’s largest theme park, where visitors can discover over 100 more attractions and shows in 15 European themed areas. Europa-Park owner Roland Mack: “Following over two decades of planning, we have realised our dream of creating one of the most spectacular water worlds in Europe, by building Rulantica on an expansion site covering 450,000 square metres. The new water adventure world, Europa-Park and the six themed hotels together offer a unique place to go for a short trip and the perfect holiday destination for families from near and far.”
